Thank You from the K of C: The Bishop Benincasa Council would like to thank all parishioners and friends who attended and supported our recent Oldies Night Event. Judging from the comments the music was tuneful and toe-tapping, the ice-cream bowls (with jimmies) a hit, and a good time was had by all. A big thank you to all the ladies, Debbie, Colleen, Cookie, Karen, Mary, Ellen and Kathy, for the delicious desserts and set-up and decorating help, and to the Smith and Fera Families for the big assist on the cleanup crew. Thank you all!

For over 25 years the Bishop Benincasa Council of the Knights of Columbus has provided men with opportunities to grow in their faith and to provide hands on service to those in need. The Council is currently conducting a membership drive and invite all men and friends of St. Al’s Parish to prayerfully consider becoming a Knight of Columbus. Besides joining an organization of men that shares your Faith Values and loyalty to the Catholic Church – and in this way helps you to become a better and more active Catholic, the members of the Benincasa Council are engaged in promoting the sacredness of life, supporting the St. Al’s Food Pantry, encouraging vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life, adopting a needy seminarian studying at Christ the King Seminary, assisting in the spiritual and fund-raising endeavors of our parish and participating in the diocesan Catholic Charities Appeal. And the women of the Ladies Auxiliary work right along with their husbands in supporting the ideals and values of the Knights. If anyone would like more information on the Knights of Columbus or is considering becoming a Knight, please call Ray Missert (833-4777) or Bob Arana (361-4882) or the Rectory. Again all men of the parish and friends of St. Al’s are invited to become Knights of Columbus.
